I’m sad to report that the publication of Nation
of Faith and Flesh, not so long ago scheduled for this October, has been
pushed back into next year. I was right at the verge of finishing it when I
found myself unexpectedly thrown into a legal issue, unrelated to the book itself, that turned everything
upside down. Because there’s an ongoing investigation, I’ve been advised not to
talk about it; but it’s moving toward slowly toward resolution, and I look forward to the day I can write and speak about this strange, harrowing,
eye-opening—and ultimately very valuable—experience. In the meantime, as I’m
taking extra time to polish up the manuscript, I’m finding spots to strengthen
that I probably wouldn’t have gotten to on the original schedule. (As a veteran
player of Pollyanna Whittier’s Glad Game, I’m finding much to be grateful for even now.)
